Romford Market's history dates back to 1247.​ Today the busy and vibrant market continues to thrive and is considered to be one of the largest and best street markets in the south-east.

It is located in the heart of four different shopping areas - The Liberty, Mercury Mall, The Brewery and Romford Shopping Hall.

The market offers a wide variety of products and there are various food stalls which also provide covered seating areas. Close by there is a large selection of bakeries, cafés, pubs and restaurants and so the market offers a attractive visitor experience for everyone.
