Paying your business rates

You can pay your business rates in a variety of ways.​​

Pay by Direct Debit

You can also contact our office for a Direct Debit form or we can set up your Direct Debit over the telephone.

By completing the Direct Debit form you are giving the Council permission to collect payments from your bank account.

We will tell you well in advance of the amounts and dates of payments.

Pay online

Pay your business rates online with our secure online payment system using a credit/debit card 24 hours day, 7 days a week.

By telephone

You can pay using a credit/debit card by telephoning our dedicated line for payments on 01708 433993. As this is an automated line, this service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

You will be asked to enter your business rates account number, which is shown on the front of your bill. Credit card payments are subject to a handling fee. There is no handling fee for debit card payments.

By post

Please send a cheque made payable to 'London Borough of Havering', with your business rates account number on the reverse of the cheque to:

By cash

At any branch of NatWest quoting, Bank Account Number 14871734 and Sort Code 60-18-01, along with your business rates account number.

By BACS / Standing Order

For BACS and Standing Order payments you will need to quote - Bank Account Number 14871734 and Sort Code 62-00-44. (Also quoting your business rates account number)

Please note that all payments must be on your account by the 1st of each month. If you are paying by cheque or at the bank, please make your payment in advance to allow time for this to reach your account.
