Housing Regeneration Programme

Havering Council has an ambitious Housing Regeneration Programme to build around 3,500 new homes.
You can find details online of the Housing Regeneration Programme and of the Sheltered Housing Development Programme as well as the current version of the Local Lettings Plan.

Severe weather emergency

Havering Council will also provide emergency accommodation to rough sleepers to prevent deaths on the streets caused by cold winter conditions.

This will be activated when the Met Office predicts 3 consecutive nights of temperature below 0 degrees and will be in operation from 1 December 2016 to 31 March 2017.

Referrals are expected through the London Street Rescue Outreach teams, the Police and other Council staff.

Therefore we are developing a Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) for rough sleepers in Havering.

This will be administered by the Housing Advice & Homelessness and Hostels teams.
